Our stay at Loews Portofino Bay was quite memorable. The hotel’s Italian theme is charming, and the water taxi service is a fantastic perk for easily getting to Universal parks. However, we did encounter some issues with our room not being ready and ongoing construction that disrupted the overall view. The dining options were good but a bit pricey, so we relied heavily on the club lounge for more affordable meals.
I had an overall enjoyable stay at the hotel, with fantastic amenities and a beautiful environment. The property is stunning and feels immersive, truly capturing the essence of Italy. However, there were some issues like inconsistent service from staff and the need for room updates. The convenience of having express passes for the parks was a significant plus, but it’s disappointing that dining options felt overpriced and could be better.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location near Universal Studios is fantastic, making it easy to access the parks quickly via the water taxi. I found the rooms to be spacious and clean, although the furniture could use some updates. Although the amenities were impressive, the dining options did not meet my expectations. Overall, while there were highlights such as the pool and staff service, I feel the price doesn't fully reflect the experience at this hotel.
